Today’s episode is one in a three-part mini-series on the Origin of a Word. All words have their own specific history. Words are formed in specific places and from a certain time period. Over the centuries these words have shaped and re-shaped our lives, entered into our vernacular and are unconsciously and consciously spoken in our common everyday languages. Words have the powerful ability to create life or to create death. The word that I will be discussing today has greatly affected all of our lives and continues to do so in the modern context.
