If you follow us here to the left, you will see Tom Cruise before he was an action star. Take notice of the comedic timing, the attention to drama, both of which are evocative of his work in the 80s and 90s. To our right we have Emily Blunt. This movie, titled "Edge of Tomorrow" is one where she shed her image as the female sidekick to fully realize herself as 'Wings of Victory' for a new generation. As we follow these two ideals through the space, we find the Omega, an alien catalyst for our two heroes to realize themselves for the future of mankind. Bill Cage, our protagonist, is our Perseus who must overcome the tentacled gorgons (Mimics), and with the aid of Grey-Eyed Athena, Goddess of Wisdom and Strategy (Rita Vrataski), they must do what all others cannot.
Reset.
Bill Cage is a coward who is forced to fight on the front lines against an alien invasion of Mimics when he is imbued with the ability to reset the day every time he dies. Rita Vrataski is the only one who can help him put an end to the greatest threat against mankind.
Reset.
This is a dope movie, and who knew we would dive into art history in the process.
Reset.
Even in an action movie, Erin and Brennan are hella nerds.
