I have wondered if my life seems so amazing because I haven’t really had a lot of adversity. I have had bad things happen and have had some really low and sad times, BUT the whole of my life and existence has been wonderful, so maybe my ideas are skewed.
I listened to Viktor Frankl's A Man’s Search for Meaning.
It was on a list of 100 Best Books of All Time.
Viktor was an Austrian Psychiatrist who was in Nazi concentration camps during World War II for 3 years!
Viktor’s account shows that even in the face of the most awful things we can imagine, you can rise above and still have a meaningful life. Frankl emphasizes that even in the direst circumstances, individuals still possess the freedom to choose their attitudes and responses to the situation. He argues that finding meaning and purpose in life, regardless of the circumstances, is crucial for psychological well-being.
You may not believe that when I tell you because you probably think, "What do you know about adversity?" and I agree. But Viktor Frankl saw the worst of the worst of adversity and he also agrees. So believe him. :)
