Smoke eatin, whisky drinking, leather chewing, mustache havin', hero. The fire service has had an intimate relationship with alcohol and all things considered hardcore since our old friend Benny Franklin.
Alcohol is the great common thread between 'brothers' in the fire service and it's also the cause of many a downfall. My relationship with it is unclear, and so is my explanation of it.
