In this first episode about public health in the U.S., we explore some of the challenges that occurred in the wake of the 1793 yellow fever epidemic, which quickly became one of the major issues that faced President Washington and his administration. The evolution of public health and scientific breakthroughs has been a defining part of America. We can increase our efforts to not only boost scientific innovation, but also make science a more integral part of our culture.
