He struggles with mental health issues, stemming from his time in the military and police force. However, he does not let that stop him from still dedicating his life to the pursuit of helping others.
Creating a non-profit, Second Chance Outdoors, he has found a way to build a peer support system for those that suffer, like him, with mental health.
