“You become like the five people you spend the most time with. Choose carefully.” I love this quote by Jim Rohn and when I am really honest with myself, I can see that it is definitely true. And Oprah said it well when she instructed "surround yourself with those who only lift you higher.”
You do get to choose who and what you surround yourself with and it does have a huge impact on the results you get in life. I saw this first hand with the 11 clients who joined me at the Fancy Food Show. They were lifting each other up and generating an intoxicating energy!
I also see it inside Food Business Success with our coaching calls. Engaging with a community of like-minded foodpreneneurs is one of THE most important things you can do for your success.
In addition to who you surround yourself with, also consider what you surround yourself with.
I share some examples of things you should cut out or really limit if you want to have the motivation and energy to do the big things that come with a successful business.
You don't have to cut out every negative person in your life, but you can choose what you put in your ears or in front of your eyes. You can also choose to find groups and people who are more positive and encouraging to help cancel out some of the negativity that slows you down.
