Description

Katie Mullen is a physical therapist and PT Team Leader at Encompass Health Rehab of Henderson. She was born and raised in Henderson, NV and graduated with her BS in exercise science from Creighton University in Omaha, NE in 2015 and earned her DPT from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ in 2017. After graduating from PT school, Katie felt called to come back home and serve the Henderson and Las Vegas communities.

Although she was first inspired to become a PT in the outpatient ortho setting, Katie found her true love to be working with older adults, particularly in inpatient rehab. Katie is passionate about being of service and inspiring change and she believes physical therapy is her best avenue to practice both on a daily basis.

When she’s not in the clinic, you can find Katie pursuing her personal creative endeavors, playing with her dog, Blue, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time and traveling the world with her wonderful boyfriend, Bryce. Always looking to do more, Katie is currently pursuing her certification to become a Pilates instructor.

Katie Mullen decided she wanted to become a PT at the age of 13 after a sport-related injury. Since that time, she pursued that dream through volunteering, shadowing, and working as a tech.

She became a Geriatric Certified Specialist in July of 2020. In addition to loving her work as a therapist, Katie also loves improving her leadership skills. She became the PT Team Leader at Encompass Health Rehab of Henderson within a year of practicing, and since then has created new clubs that focus on improving the therapeutic and leadership skills of her teammates/colleagues.
