Maddy studied at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin receiving her BS in Nutrition and Dietetics. She eventually became the Director of Dietetics at a local hospital, experiencing the thrill of managing a team of dietitians. She serves as the President Elect for the Nevada Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In 2019, she was awarded Nevada's Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year.
Maddy's nutrition counselling style has an emphasis on intuitive eating; a concept that embraces one’s ability to honor hunger cues and reject societal dieting rules. As the sole owner of Desert Dietitians, she is enthusiastic about serving Vegas, using food to improve the lives of locals.
