In order to better understand the Epistle to the Philippians, we need to examine how it was first established. This is found in Acts 16:6-40.
There are at least 5 key events occurring here:
1) The Macedonian Call (Acts 16:6-10)
2) The conversion of Lydia Acts 16:11-15)
3) The deliverance of the slave girl, (Acts 16:16-19)
4) The imprisonment of Paul and Silas (Acts 16:20-24) and
5) The conversion of the jailer (Acts 16:25-34)
