Help your kids take a break from the busyness of their lives and reflect on how God created the whole world.
God is Creator, and He spoke and the world came to be. God’s Spirit is like God’s breath, and God used the Holy Spirit to breathe life into the Heavens and the Earth and into all creation.
Verses:
Psalm 33:6-9 NIV
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea into jars;
he puts the deep into storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the Lord;
let all the people of the world revere him.
For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.
Genesis 1:1-5 NIV
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
