Romans 5:12-21 (CWSB)
📍12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
📌13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
🧐15 But not as the offense, so also is the free gift. For if through the offense of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offenses unto justification.
17 For if by one man’s offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
👉🏿18 Therefore as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Conclusion:
Sin having entered human experience, it then proceeded to “abound.” Adam’s sin, as we have seen, was a calculated denial of God’s authority and a clear statement of his intention to go his own way.
The reign of grace through the ministry of Christ is as far-reaching as the reign of sin. Through Adam a whole race was reached by sin, but in Christ a complete race is touched by grace. Through birth all are related to Adam; through faith “the many” are related to Christ. Adam’s people suffer death, but Christ’s enjoy the all-pervading reign of grace, “eternal life,” which is related to “righteousness.” This means that those who receive the gift of righteousness in Jesus Christ also receive the gift of eternal life in Him. So great is the reign of grace it reaches into eternity and opens it for all people who will come to Christ in faith.
📍Walk by faith not by sight
Hebrews 11:1 (CWSB)
“By Faith”
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Romans 10:17 (CWSB)
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
📍Don’t live to just be Blessed, live to be a Blessing.
Job 42:10 (NIV)
10 After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.
Luke 22:31-32 (KJV)
31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
