When a doctor casually tells Kristie McDougal and her husband that their unborn child has a rare disorder, Kristie is terrified. The only "plan" is to wait and see what will happen once he's born.
Thankfully, her faith and her professional knowledge as a social worker at a children's hospital gives her the resources necessary to navigate the unknown.
Through all of the obstacles, she keeps her sense of humor and teaches her children to reach out to others with love, kindness, and acceptance. She also advises us to "sit and enjoy the now."
