40 years ago, John Carpenter followed up his horror cult classic, Halloween, with an action cult-classic, Escape From New York. There's a lot to like about this dystopian spin on the future, but there's also a lot that is dated. Will Snake Plissken be able to escape from the island jail, and break into the Action Movie Hall of Fame?
