Today we’re celebrating Wilma Mankiller, a Cherokee activist who became the first woman elected to serve as Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation! Wilma accomplished and overcame so much in her life and was an impactful social worker and community developer before her leadership role. She’s and inspiration to all women out there, so happy birthday, Wilma!
