Mahatma Gandhi was a political ethicist and Indian lawyer whose peaceful protests eventually led to a successful campaign for India’s independence from British rule. His nonviolent resistance inspired movements for civil rights and freedoms across the word. Happy, happy birthday to Gandhi!
