Description

Formed in 2015 in the Melbourne suburb of Preston, Melbourne/Naarm’s RVG, or Romy Vager Group, blend lush jangling guitar pop with elements of post-punk, goth, and ’80s college rock. The RVG project explores a middle ground where tuneful and sophisticated songcraft meets the loose spontaneity of punk and garage. This episode I chat with RVG about the release of their third studio album ‘Brain Worms’. We discussed our guilty pleasure songs, the specificity of the album’s track listing, covering Rick Astley and the evolution of the bands recording process from recording their first album live at The Tote, to their recording process today.
