Dandelion Head is the solo project of LA/Melbourne based musician and songwriter J.Blynn. In the middle of 2021, J was living in his partner’s hometown of Melbourne, Australia. The couple moved there to have their first child and escape the raging of the pandemic in LA. Ready to make the second Dandelion Head album, he set up a little studio just outside the city in a little mud brick structure on a hillside of eucalyptus trees. This episode I chat with Dandelion Head about his new record ‘Blue Dream’. We discussed navigating the world with a new baby, the difference between the LA and Melbourne music scenes and how growing up and living in different landscapes have influenced the creation of his music.
