We're abandoning one princess in a tower for another! It's already the end of our time discussing Sleeping Beauty! We cap off this month by giving our final thoughts on this tale, talking about the Sleeping Beauty musical we performed in as children, and revealing how we would retell this story ourselves. Then it's time to move into our fairy tale for November: Rapunzel! We deep dive into the major changes the Brothers Grimm made between the two editions of the story they published in 1812 and 1857, looping in discussion of one of its predecessors, Petrosinella by Giambattista Basile. We also reveal the four adaptations of Rapunzel we'll be reading and watching over the next month and the criteria we'll be using to examine them.
