NaPodPoMo begins Sunday, November 1st, are you up for the challenge?  National Podcast Post Month was created by Jennifer Navarrete in 2007 and it's a great way to get started podcasting.

I will also be presenting “Podcasting For Your Business or Brand” on November 12th from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in Middletown, so this is perfect timing for me.  

During that in-person and virtual session, I will be covering a lot of information, such as:

• What is a podcast
• Why start a business podcast
• Power of podcasting
• Planning a podcast

We will talk about the benefits of starting a business podcast and if you are following me along, you know that not only does a podcast connect you to your clients and customer base in a non-salesy manner, but it can also help to broaden your brand and expand your exposure online and even perhaps provide an additional stream of income.

Podcasting is becoming a very popular and powerful medium and there are so many exciting enhancements coming to the podcasting world including:

• Sharing your podcast on Instagram Reels
• 1-click submit to all podcast directories if you are not on Anchor, Transistor.fm now offers this service
• Spotify who owns anchor has reported it has 320m monthly active users: which up 29% year-on-year. 22% of them used podcasts (up 1% from last quarter).
• Amazon’s net income tripled year-on-year.
• Oh and Netflix, which by the way is increasing their monthly costs, will soon be offering audio-only mode for background listening which will basically allow you to listen to your Netflix shows like you would listen to podcasts, allowing you to attend to other important tasks, which require your complete attention.

So this is the perfect time to start a podcast and starting on November 1st, you can join millions of other podcasters as we kick of NaPodPoMo!
