Innovation is the creative process that enables change and transformation in our business. It is a powerful method that can be used for scaling, leveling up or radical change in an organization.  

• One model explains innovation as: Generating ideas, Problem-solving, and Implementation.  
• To generate ideas, we need to use different perceptions, brainstorm and tap into creativity. This is the fun, exciting part of innovation.  
• Problem-solving is where clarity is key. Without a clear understanding of the problem at stake, we cannot be innovative.  
• Implementation is when the innovation really happens.  
• Some people are reluctant to change. Others are overly-enthusiastic about change. Somewhere, we need to meet in the middle and find the right middle-ground for innovation: avoid reluctance & stagnation, but also be mindful not to constantly innovate for the sake of it.  
• There is radical innovation and incremental innovation. We are often tempted by radical innovation when sometimes, we only need to incrementally innovate.  

Innovation can be a very powerful way to shift things in our business. We must be mindful of how we use and apply innovation in order to reap the best results!
