Description

Local DFW Environmental Health Specialist and women-owned business owner, Wendy Michaelis, founder of Plano based fixAIR, talks with Host Deanna Blair about challenging norms in residential and commercial building industries.  Wendy has built her business focused on the widely misunderstood and often overlooked health implications that are stemming from the air we breathe. We live in a toxic world, and when people have health issues, most doctors are not considering exposure to toxic elements when they make their diagnosis.

How are people truly impacted by the environment? Wendy has studied microbiology and biochemistry and how it affects our microbiome and our bodies. Listen to her list of health symptoms, including mental health issues and irritable bowel syndrome, to start asking legitimate questions about your enviroment. When people go to the doctor without information on their exposure, the doctor will diagnose and treat with a better understanding of how to proceed. Medications don't solve the problem we're living with! Instead, with a handle on our exposure, we can learn how to detox our bodies and our environments and live a healthier, symptom-free life.
