Today's episode is about the camel who is an ancient being that has been around for some 45 million years. At first, they were much bigger than the camels that roam the Earth now, camels have two humps, while dromedaries have only one. Approximately 4 million years ago, they migrated across the Bering Straits, where the continents were connected from North America, Canada and the Arctic, to where they are now in Asia, Africa, and Australia. And that is where we associate them living these days. Camel medicine is old ways of knowing, and intelligent, good at learning and serving. They freely offer transportation, and milk, and sometimes their skins to fortify the people of those regions. They have great endurance to sustain extreme heat and extreme cold, as well as consistent speeds of about 25 miles an hour, while storing human’s food and water on their backs.
