Have you begun to see an improvement in your romance in marriage? Have you hit some roadblocks in developing your affection for your spouse? That’s what I’ll be looking at on this episode of Married By Design.
We began to look at Paul‘s description of love and all that we should be doing in our marriage. If we fail to follow Paul’s instructions in 1 Corinthians 13, we will not be loving our spouse in our actions and will not feel the resulting affection for them. This is what we called the road blocks to romance. We can make choices to treat our spouse in an unloving way, and it has a definite effect on the relationship.
Your homework, should you choose to accept it, is to discuss these different areas of love with your spouse. Examine your own heart and your practice to see if you’re falling short and throwing cold water on your romance. If you’re even more adventurous, ask your spouse if you are struggling in any of these areas. If you are, your homework is to begin work on that area and apply yourself to loving your spouse.
