Are you excited about the future? Do you look forward to the second part of your life with eager expectation and anticipation? That’s what we’ll be looking out on this episode of Married By Design.
This week we’re beginning an exciting new series entitled, “The Best Is Yet To Be.” We will be considering a book by Bruce Peppin by that title and our series will look at the concept that we need to live life well and finish life well. That the second part of our life is not one in which we should slowly fade away, but a life in which we should be expanding, growing, and maturing with great excitement and fruitfulness.
The title is from a poem by Robert Browning:
“Grow old along with me!
The best is yet to be,
The last of life, for which the first was made:
Our times are in His hand
Who saith "A whole I planned,
Youth shows but half; trust God: see all, nor be afraid!''
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to take some time with your spouse and discuss and evaluate your life now and your future life. Are you planning on finishing well?
