Are you living life as a couple for God's glory and impacting others? Are you stirring each other up to live empowered by God’s Spirit that naturally and effortlessly is a life that is radiant? That’s what we will be looking at on this episode of Married By Design.
We are all going to be controlled by something. It could be by wine, lust, by anger, any other thing that we can choose to follow. Or we can be controlled by God Spirit. That word controlled in Ephesians 5 has to do with being filled with. When somebody is filled with wine they’re controlled by it. The wine makes them do things that they wouldn’t do otherwise. When somebody is filled with the Spirit, they are controlled by Him. And the result is that they shine brightly and live a life of radiance.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make a regular practice in your quiet time of reviewing Ephesians 5:18, examining your life for things that would darken you and asking for God to fill you with His Spirit. I f you do this, you’ll be amazed how conscious you become of His leading during the day and the power that you have to live the life of light and radiance. Talk about this as a couple and pray for each other that you would be filled and led by God's Spirit.
