While online prompting the Vampire In Brooklyn episode of The Murphy Monday Podcast... I got into a heated discussion about the movie "Ghostbusters". Many of Eddie Murphy's movies aren't the quote on quote typical comedies. Because of this, People criticize his movies when it doesn't fit their mold of comedy. So, I stirred the pot and asked the question on Facebook "Is Ghostbusters A Comedy?" Compared to Eddie's body of work.. "Ghostbusters Ain't Funny". I sat down with Comedian Rob Cividanes and discussed this topic. We talked about standup comedy in the 70s/80s and what people consider funny. He then proceeds to tell me that he saw Eddie Murphy live back in 1982. We also talked about how he was yelled at by Samuel L Jackson on the set of the movie "SHAFT" (John Singleton).
