Concerning Salvation – Regeneration

Be assured that, eventually, your new body will be attached to your soul at the rapture of the church, when you will meet Jesus in the air. That is the future regeneration promised to us. However, saving regeneration takes place in the present. It begins at the quickening of your spirit in order for you to hear and understand the word of God and ends with the separation of your spirit from your flesh, which makes you a new creation after you place your faith in Christ.
What does this element of the doctrine of salvation cause us to do? It should
1. Cause us to understand our duality and help us make spiritual choices.
2. Cause us to separate the physical from the spiritual and follow the urging of His Spirit.
3. Cause us to be thankful and worship God.
