The Baptism of Jesus
Matthew 3:13-17
Why was Jesus baptized?
1. To identify with sinners.
2. To symbolize the substitution He would make for sinners.
3. To offer a thesis statement to His ministry.
4. To set an example for believers.
Application #1. Jesus doesn’t need you to protect His reputation.
Application #2. You never need question the actions of Jesus.
Application #3. You should publicly identify with Christ.
