Why is this important?
1. Since both Israel and the church are uniquely special and valued by God, each should be held in the highest regard.
a. Israel is a special, chosen people. Deut. 7:6; Gen. 12:3
b. The church is a special bought people. Acts 20:28; 1 Peter 2:9-10
2. Since the church has end-times prophecies separate from those concerning the nation of Israel, we must interpret the scriptures carefully.
a. Israel will go through the tribulation. Rev. 7:3-4
b. The church will be raptured before the tribulation. Rev. 3:10
