Acts 4:23-31 - The Marks
1. They prayed for the society that persecuted them.
a. They acknowledged the sovereignty of God (vs 24, 28)
b. They prayed the scriptures. (vs 25-26)
c. They prayed for steadfastness. (29)
The Result (The blessings):
1. They were filled by the Spirit (v 31)
2. They were emboldened to be counter-culture (v 31)
Acts 4:32-35 - The Marks
1. They were unified. (v 32)
2. They shared possessions to meet needs. (v 32, 34-35)
3. They preached the gospel. (V 33)
The Result (The blessings):
1. God’s grace was evident in them (v 33)
2. Everyone’s needs were met (V 34)
Acts 5: 1-11 - The Marks
1. They cared enough to confront. (vs 3-4)
2. They were striving for a culture of holiness (v 4)
3. They practiced personal accountability (v 8-9)
The Result (The blessings):
1. The fear of the Lord was present (v 11)
Acts 6:1-7 - The Marks
1. They ordained deacons for care and service (v 6)
2. The Apostles concentrated on prayer and preaching (v 4)
The Result (The blessing):
1. Teaching and preaching increased. (v 7)
2. Disciples increased. (v 7)
3. Even the antichrists were saved. (v 7)
