I had the absolute honor of getting to speak at a church's women's retreat this last October! I can’t even begin to express how humbled I was to be asked to do this and how sweet it was to partner with the Lord on this. This is the first session of two that I got to teach on the topic of Christian friendship.

Praying these two talks are helpful, encouraging and edifying as you navigate the call of a Christian, specifically in friendships. ENJOY!

Discussion Questions:

1. What does it mean to you that Jesus is your friend?
2.  Is it difficult for you to see Jesus as a friend? Explain why.
3. What are ways that Christian friendship looks different from worldly friendship?
4. Has friendship been easy or hard for you in this season of life? How so?
5. How have you seen a friend lay down their life for you?
6. Of the three ways that friendship is necessary listed in the message - which have you seen play out in your own life? Give an example. (Friendship is necessary for our sanctification/transformation, for the good of the church, and for the world to see Jesus)
7. How has the Lord specifically gifted you for God’s glory and the good of your friendships? If someone at your table is having trouble seeing where the Lord has gifted them, and you know them well, speak into that!
8. Is there someone in your life that has a clear invitation to speak into your life? If yes, share how that has impacted your life. If not, is there someone God is placing on your heart to invite in?

      Take a moment to pray for your current friendships and future friendships.
