David brings over 25 years of experience in Big Data, consumer Internet, online advertising, and hosted services, contributing to nearly $800 million in successful company exits.
In 2013, David founded AtScale with a mission to democratize access to Big Data. His vision was to empower businesses by enabling seamless access to data, regardless of its format, size, or the tools preferred by users. Today, leading enterprises like American Express, Visa, Bloomberg, United Healthcare, Cigna, Aetna, Allstate, Home Depot, Comcast, and Toyota rely on AtScale to unlock the full potential of their data for employees across the organization.
David earned his degree in Economics from UCLA, but his passion for technology has always kept him close to the code. As the inventor of the business intelligence industry in the early 1990s with his first company, Mineshare, David has continuously worked at the forefront of data innovation. He further honed his expertise at companies like Yahoo! and Klout, where he embraced the challenge of working with vast amounts of data.
Outside of his role as AtScale’s fearless leader, David navigates the controlled chaos of life with four children and their constant trail of mischief. And if you ever see him without a can of Diet Coke in hand… well, something might be seriously wrong.
