Summary: Destroying a horcrux has been one of the hardest things to do in the Harry Potter story for almost the entire franchise. Killing Voldemort was that much more of a challenge because of his horcruxes. Today, I've found another way to destroy a horcrux. We know fiend fire and basilisk venom will do the trick, but what about something like the veil in the Ministry of Magic or a dementor? The veil is the archway leading from the land of the living to the land of the dead. The question here is: is putting a horcrux into the dead land destroying it? Or is it just putting it into a safer place? A dementor is a soul-sucking creature of darkness that feeds on the fear and sadness of their enemies. A dementor can perform a dementor's kiss, which sucks the soul out of a person or object. Which one will work? I think the dementor has the upper hand here. Like I explained in a past episode, killing a horcrux only removes it from the land of the living and binds the maker to death. And for that reason, the veil would not work. A dementor on the other hand will destroy a horcrux. When a dementor removes the soul from something, it takes that soul in for itself. Because every dementor is technically dead, it would not need the soul in question. So when the soul is removed from the object or person, it is dis-carded. The soul would go to a place where nothing would need it. In a sense, it is destroyed.
