Description

John Kaminski, the founder and director of the Center for the Study of the American Constitution, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Editor in Chief of the Documentary History of the Ratification of the Constitution project, now up to 37 volumes and also available ow online as a digital archive, joins us to talk about this landmark publication project, and about the struggle to ratify the Constitution in 1787-1788.  We learn why Rhode Island kept saying No,   why Elbridge Gerry is such a fascinating figure, and why Massachusetts was critical to the ratification.
