There's a reason for the comparison of the nastiness of politics with a sausage. If any of us witnessed what goes into making sausage, we'd likely never eat it again. The same is true with politics. The more we find out about the nature of it, and the way our citizen representatives often conduct themselves, the less we want to know about it.
