A Father and Son revisit the James Cameron classic film 'The Terminator' to answer the age old question: Was Harlan Ellison right when he said the movie ripped off his Outer Limits episode 'Soldier'.
No. The answer is no.
For a film approaching thirty years old it holds up surprisingly well. Tangents about predestination paradoxes make for confusing mind benders. Is this first movie destined to play out exactly as it does? Is it possible for Sara Connor to not be attracted to the man in the smelly hobo pants? Was Skynet merely fulfilling it's own predestination paradox knowingly or no?
A pity there were not any good Terminator films after Judgement day. It would be an interesting question to explore.
