There is no shortage of information on what we should and shouldn’t be eating. And when you’re pregnant, this can get really confusing and overwhelming. What I wished someone spoke to me about sooner, were the changes I could make preconception and in early pregnancy.
I met fertility and women’s hormone expert, Dr. Rachel Corradetti-Sargeant, when she signed up for my Healthy Home Method program. So when I launched my course, Prepping for Pregnancy, I knew I wanted to share her wisdom with my students. This episode is a recording of a conversation Dr. Rachel and I had in the middle of 2019, specifically to support those who are preconception, trying to conceive, or in early pregnancy.
We cover:
Dr. Rachel Corradetti-Sargeant is a licenced Naturopathic Doctor - part total science nerd and part no-holds-barred health nut. With special interests in fertility and women’s hormones, she is passionate about empowering her patients to make healthy changes and allow them to achieve conception, maintenance of a healthy pregnancy, and transitioning out of their fertility years later in life…
When she is not seeing patients, Rachel is running triathlons, contributing to magazine articles (look for me in Clean Eating and Elle magazines), reviewing the latest clinic research for Integrated Healthcare Practitioners magazine, or making a giant mess in the kitchen whipping up the latest healthy desserts.
Dr. Corradetti-Sargeant has two children who were conceived with the help of preconception care via naturopathic doctors and fertility care, so she is extra passionate about hormonal health!

Green at Home is no longer an operating business, as its founder, Emma Rohmann, has gone back to her engineering roots in large-scale green building consulting. She is keeping her free resources, including the podcast and blog, live but you will find other links to resources are likely broken in these show notes.
