#055// Are you engaging in any level of "prepping" during this season of seemingly shaky economies and rumored shortages? What do you think of when you hear about people who are storing shelf-stable food and water for the long term, buying up generators and deep freezers, joining the ranks of the RV army with a "bug-out" plan in hand (and maybe even a piece of land somewhere in the middle of nowhere)? How are you feeling as crypto-currency is going mainstream, while folks stand on hour-long lines to buy overpriced ammunition (if it's even in stock), and the rest of the people are at the seed store planting their very first garden so they can be self-sustaining "should anything happen"?
Are you more inclined to call this whole trend a result of "conspiracy theory" run rampant, or would you say, "It's just plain and simple wisdom"? Either way you lean, it won't change the fact that we are clearly obsessed with talking about this topic, especially out on social media. So what does the Bible have to say about prepping and what should the Believer's approach to this whole thing be?
This episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast is the first in a two part series around how we *should* be prepping as Believers. In this week's episode I want to take on the attitude we choose to move in as we approach this topic and/or effort. Fear is one of the most insidious weapons that the devil wields against a Believer, and he's using it overtime when it comes to how we approach being prepared as we walk through these end times.
With these last few years feeling like the devil's plan for the world's demise has somehow been accelerated, Spirit-filled Believers cannot be burying their heads in the ground and pretending like we have some "get out of tribulation free card" when we really don't. News Flash (supported by scripture): The Church is going to be playing a major role in these end times, even through times of tribulation, and so it's time for those who follow Jesus, in Spirit and in Truth, to come fully awake, and to hear the Lord on how and when to prepare for these times that are undoubtedly ahead of us.
So, if you're ready to start this two-part discussion with me on how the Christian can prepare for what's coming, without partnering with the fear being offered, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!
