#091// We've been sold a definition of rest by this world that just isn't accurate. The kind of rest the world pushes is insufficient. Have you realized this yet? The more you religiously engage with the self-care rituals, the more you aggressively disappear for “me time,” the more you pursue products that promise to curb your anxiety and bring you balance, the more you worship at the altar of “margin” . . . the more real rest you’ll actually need. The world’s rest is actually consumptive. It’s a demonic plan, straight from the pit of hell, designed to wear you out. See Daniel 7:25, friend. It’s a strategy!
Kingdom rest, however, is completely different. God wants to “bake rest in” to our everyday lives. He doesn’t want us to have to vacate our lives to find rest, recovery and recharge. He wants us to live in His rhythm of grace where we are constantly full, and being filled, because we abide in Him. Are you ready to make the switch from the worldly rest that robs into Kingdom rest that redeems? If so, I want you to dig into this week’s Positioned to Prosper podcast episode. Grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let’s Go!
Grab the Accompanying Rest Worksheet: Would you like a two-page worksheet that has the four questions of rest we’ve been discussing in this rest series along with spaces to pray through the questions with God and journal out the answers?
