Alisa N. Howard, hails locally from Las Vegas, Nevada having studied Communications, Paralegal Studies and Psychology. Ms. Howard combined all of her years of schooling and now utilizes it as an eight-year Public Health Professional, Consultant and Health Educator. She is employed as a part-time Instructor at College of Southern Nevada teaching the Community Health Worker Training Program, and owns a boutique public health consulting firm, Minority Health Consultants.
Ms. Howard believes in being directly apart of the change in her community, so she serves on several committees and boards.
Ms. Howard’s expertise and experience comes from working for the State of Nevada in the Tuberculosis Elimination Program as a Policy and Procedure Writer and Health Analyst, as a Data Disease Collection Specialist in the HIV & STD Surveillance and Sexual Health Clinic departments at the Southern Nevada Health District, and lastly before starting her own firm, she implemented the Minority Health Services Program at the Las Vegas Urban League where she served as the Director of an HIV Ryan White Part B Prevention Program and an Early Intervention Program. Ms. Howard's passion for health advocacy, education, and equity for minority and under-served communities is undisputed.
