“A game of Pooh-sticks and listening for the train.
The level-crossing gate feels warm in the sun.
The ground is spongy with rainfall and forget-me-not.
Rumours of thunder to the west.
Water dropwort and young leaf
The minglings of sunlight and water.
Chiffchaffs’ scissoring notes.
Erica among the bluebells.”
