Paige's week!

This week we're taking you way back to 1820's Scotland; where you could be executed for simply cutting down a tree. Even though this seems harsh, they totally made up for it with their ability to come up with cool names!... Not really. Paige goes into some history about the time period and defines certain terms, one of them being 'anatomy killers'. An anatomy killing is a murder committed in order to use that body for medical research, where typically the murderer will sell the body to a research facility. There have been many anatomy killers, but this episode we focus on two men who were probably the most well known for it.
William Burke and William Hare killed 16 people over a period of 11 months in order to sell their bodies to an anatomist. Eventually these two men were caught, but you'll have to listen to hear their fates.
