Our Responsibility in Bein Christlike
“Have faith in God. For assuredly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:22-24)
It is clear from these words of Jesus that our responsibility is to have faith, speak, pray and believe. These are things we are clearly responsible to do. If we are not careful we can blame God for not doing anything about our dire situation: find fault when He does not answer our prayers, for letting bad things happen to us, being passive when it comes to our provision and protection. “He didn’t heal my loved one. He didn’t come through for me when my marriage was falling apart. He allowed me to get laid off or didn’t help me keep my business going, and now I can’t pay my bills.” On and on it goes.
God gets blamed for a lot of things. But the truth of the matter is, some things are our responsibility and things happen to us or we don’t get out of a lot of situations because we have not done what God told us to do. We cannot do what only God can do, but God will not do what He has told us to do. If someone remains in a destructive lifestyle, it may be because he will not repent; he’d rather live with his sin that with God. Maybe I have not done what I should have done with my job or business or health or relationship. We cannot blame God for our divorce when we have not loved our spouse the way God says. When relationships deteriorate it is because we have not done our responsibility. Someone is always at fault, but it is never God... to read more click on the following link:
