Seek the Lord

But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”  (Deuteronomy 4:29)

I want to balance the gist and bulk of this lesson out, but not too much because people seem to already be out of balance in favor of the introduction than the body of this teaching.

INTRODUCTION: I understand the sovereignty of God and recognize that He is prevenient in all His works of grace. No one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws him (John 6:44). Romans 3:11 says, “No one seeks God.” Not unless the Father is drawing him. Until the Spirit of God moves on the face of the waters, they will remain dark and void and dead (Genesis 1:1-3). God must speak before cosmos comes out of chaos. God initiates all good things. He called Abraham, Moses, David, the apostles, including Paul; and He calls everyone He is going to save. He is Lord. But people can let that glorious truth of God’s sovereign grace take from them one of the first acts of grace in our lives, and that is His grace puts something in us – a desire to know Him and have him in our lives, working on our behalf. Paul wrote this in 1Cor.15:10, “By the grace of God I am what I am and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” The grace of God in Paul’s life moved him to labor more abundantly than any other apostle. Phil.2:13 says, “For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good
pleasure.” God is at work in us to what end? To desire and do what pleases Him. One of the things that pleases God is for us to seek Him. Our text declares this.
We all know 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble
themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land.” God hearing us, forgiving us, and healing our land depends upon us seeking His face.

Psalm 27:8 says, “When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ My heart said to You, ‘Your face, Lord, I will
seek.” Why wouldn’t’ you seek Him? He can do everything good for you: save, heal, provide, deliver, give you peace... to read more click on the following link...  http://www.gracehouseclinton.com/2022/06/seek-the-lord
