Description

For as long as she can remember, D’Wan Carpenter wanted to be a doctor. Her path to becoming a physician was filled with the understanding that medicine would become her life. She has found that as a woman with a family of four young children, and as a doctor, she was often fraught with the challenges of trying to prove herself worthy of being able to prioritize both work and family. “I was constantly trying to show up and be the best for everyone at all times…the best wife, the best mom, the best doctor, the best sister, the best daughter, the best friend.”

After the birth of her twins and ultimately becoming a mother of four, things started to change. She made the decision to get a new job, even though it required an interstate move, in order to not have to drive hours to and from work every day. She also started doing things for herself that she previously had put off because she “just didn’t have time.”

Today, she is the founder and coach of Twin Mom Chronicles, a community and coaching business that helps other working moms of children and multiples to not feel so alone, to find the resources they need, and to be sure to find the time in their day to “fill their cup.”
