What happens when the government gets into the business of distributing gifts? A poet becomes a plumber, a plumber becomes a pilot, a pilot becomes a mortician, and the only thing equal is discontent. A perpetual state of war, want, and irresolvable discontent are the only ways those in power can guarantee continued control over minorities. If they have no cause, minorities have no discontent. If minorities have no discontent, liberals have no power.
