He reflects on the “slippery slope” of rethinking long-held beliefs, the role of education and experience in reshaping theology, and how progressive Christianity invites us to embrace new information while still deeply following the way of Jesus. Brandon also sets the stage for the weeks ahead, introducing the key questions we’ll be exploring as a community: What do we do with the Bible? Who is God? What does salvation mean? How do we think about gender, sexuality, and marriage through a progressive lens?
