Hello! This episode was inspired by my recent experience not feeling well and questioning myself about my need to rest.

The majority of us have a hard time letting ourselves just be still and present without DOING something without feeling bad about it. We have learned to tie our value to our productivity so if we're not producing we're not as valuable or deserving... right?

WRONG 100% false. This is a narrative we need to challenge every single day.

Rest does not need to be earned, it is something you need to function and a lack of proper rest leads to burnout, depression, anxiety, and a host of other medical issues.

You experience stress every day, this means you need to be releasing and resting every single day.

This in no way means you're lazy... but if you want to be lazy so the F**ck what?!! What does that really mean? Maybe you don't get all the things done... if they really need to be done, if it's important to you those things will still be there waiting after you have rested.

In no way do you need to prove or validate your value or worthiness through accomplishments or productivity. Those things will never be enough in the end because there will always be the next thing do do...  don't withhold your own acceptance and value for anything.

I talk about this Instagram post I made the other day on how much energy we use fighting against ourselves. Give that a look, rest when needed, and go from there.
