Episode twelve– the one about pushing through
You know that feeling? Things get hard. We lose motivation. We lose our mojo. We run out of energy and sometimes we run out of time. Today we examine how to push through when it gets hard. As always, we start before the hard bit by asking ourselves, ‘how did I end up here in the first place?’
Three possible errors for running out of time, and losing the will to get shit done:
1) Technical error – you haven’t put aside enough time, the right time or given the task the appropriate priority in your day – rookie mistake (that Sacha still makes all the time)
2) External error – you haven’t sorted out the right space, you haven’t eaten, you’ve been sitting down too long, you have an interruptive work environment, other people make demands on your time
3) Psychological error – you thrive on crisis control and think you need that adrenaline rush to be at your best, or maybe you’re addicted to being the helper, being needed. Works super well until it doesn’t!
Along the way we learn how fast Ish can run, what annoys Sacha’s husband Chris the most about her driving, and we declare once and for all that if you want a podcast all about giving birth THIS IS NOT THE PODCAST FOR YOU.
